The evening\u2019s attendees gathered as we inducted the latest honorees into the Academy of Distinguished Bostonians and a prominent keynote speaker discussed this year\u2019s theme of <\/span><b><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Accelerating Growth<\/span><\/i><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">James E. Rooney Rooney, President &amp; CEO of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, welcomed those in attendance and sparked inspiration around this year\u2019s theme by stating that \u201cthe challenges in front of us are hard. Accelerating Growth requires action from all of us. Suzanne described the many ways business leaders are crucial to our collective success locally and nationally, and she shared a call to action that business leaders should use their trusted voice to\u00a0advocate for impactful public policies.<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Suzanne emphasized that &#8220;businesses are the engines of economic growth for their communities. And we want every place\u2026 to achieve its full potential.&#8221; She also reinforced that \u201cwe have to continue to make life better for individuals, for families, for communities\u2026
